Where bold text helps
Instagram, LinkedIn, X and most comment boxes have no bold button. Bold Unicode letters work there and make a title or a key word stand out.
Sans bold (𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱) matches the look of most apps. Classic bold (𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝) looks more like a printed book.
Use it with care
Screen readers may read bold Unicode letters one at a time, and search inside apps may not find them. Put in bold a few words, not whole paragraphs.
